Building unit sales fall 3.4%

The total number of sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units received for Land Registry registration in September was 8,670, down 3.4% on the same month last year and 2.7% on August.

 

Using a 12-month moving average, the figure rose 14.8% on September last year but fell 0.2% on August. The total consideration of these agreements was $23.5 billion, down 3.1% on last year and 21.1% on August.

 

Of the agreements, 7,100 were for residential units, down 3.9% on last year and 2.7% on August. The total consideration was $17.9 billion, down 7.9% on last year and 18.5% on August.
