*
Lands Department

The Lands Department has rejected a request for the sale of Kowloon Inland Lot 11145 at Hoi Fai Road on the west Kowloon reclamation.

The auction, the first of this financial year, will be held September 27 at the Cultural Centre.

The 2005-06 application list for Government land sale covers 29 residential and six commercial sites. Eleven sites remaining unsold in the 2004-05 application list are rolled over in the list for 2005-06, while the remaining 24 sites, including the Hoi Fai Road one, are new. The Hoi Fai Road site, with an area of 1.135 hectares, is designated 'residential'.

August also saw 11 applications for lease modifications and one for land exchange, bringing the totals to 85 and 19. There were three applications on private treaty grant being processed.
