There were 943 bankruptcy petitions presented in July, up 16.4% from the June figure of 810, and a drop of 9.4% compared with last year's average monthly figure of 1,041.
The Official Receiver's Office said during the month, the court made 693 bankruptcy orders, down 188 from the previous month's figure of 881, and a drop of 38.8% on the average monthly figure of 1,133 last year.
