The fifth issue of the Trade & Industry Department's newsletter for small and medium enterprises, "The Pulse", is out now.

It contains articles on business opportunities in the electronic game industry, advice to SMEs on how to exercise custom-made selling techniques to cater for different types of customers, and how to handle employer-employee relationships on the Mainland.

It also provides the new textiles import and export arrangements from 2005 onwards and features the success story of a young entrepreneur in the online retail business.

The newsletter, available in Chinese and published every six months, was first issued in late 2002, with an aim to update SMEs with the latest business trends information and the latest on the Government's support measures and services. 

Copies of the newsletter will be available free at the Support & Consultation Centre for SMEs, major trade and industrial support organisations, and selected public libraries.
