The Director of Audit has been asked to expand the ambit of his studies on the management of Radio Television Hong Kong.
Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang said the move is to better the broadcaster's services and management, as the Government is concerned about the recent court case involving RTHK.
"We are working together with RTHK to deepen some of the programmes they have been doing in terms of anti-corruption, in terms of education, and in terms of overall management," he said. "Hopefully we will be able to deliver better quality programmes and better efficiency for the people of Hong Kong."
Extension call under study
Speaking after opening of the Hong Kong Electronics Fair today, Mr Tsang said that on the Trade Development Council's proposed extension of the atrium link to the Convention & Exhibition Centre, a study on the supply and demand of exhibition space in Hong Kong has been done and a report has been submitted to the Legislative Council.
"We will be considering in earnest what the consultancy study has provided for us and together with that, we will make a decision on the proposal in due course," he said.
