The Lands Department issued eight consents for the sale of residential units and two consents for the sale of uncompleted commercial developments between October and December.
The eight consents involve 7,154 residential units. Seven of the developments comprising 6,730 units are estimated to be completed within the year with the remaining one with 424 flats done by June 2006.
In December, the department issued four consents for the sale of 3,978 uncompleted units. All four developments are due for completion this year. One consent to sell an uncompleted commercial development was also issued.
At the end of last month, 15 applications for consent to sell uncompleted residential developments, involving 7,140 units, and seven applications for commercial developments were pending approval.
Six of the residential developments, involving 643 units, are estimated to be completed within 2005 with the remaining nine developments, involving 6,497 units, finished in 2006.
There were also four applications pending approval for consent to assign, two in respect of commercial developments and two residential developments comprising 1,650 units.
