Frederick Ma to promote HK in Japan
*

Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Frederick Ma will pay his first official visit to Japan between September 26 and 28 to promote Hong Kong as an international financial centre and the territory's business opportunities for Japanese investors.

During his stay in Tokyo, Mr Ma will meet government officials to exchange views on matters of mutual interest. He will also visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and meet leading figures in the financial services and business sectors.

Mr Ma will speak on Hong Kong's development as an international financial centre at a luncheon hosted by the Funds Flow Forum of the Hong Kong Japan Partnership Roundtable and the Institute for International Monetary Affairs.

He will also deliver a keynote address on corporate governance in Asia at a seminar organised by the Economist Corporate Network and the Keizai Doyukai.
