John Tsang to visit Thailand
*

Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang will depart Hong Kong on August 26 for a three-day visit to Bangkok.

 

During his stay, he will meet with business and political leaders, his ministerial counterpart and media representatives. Mr Tsang will call on the Minister of Commerce Watana Muangsook and meet Minister-Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand Pan Guangxue.

 

He will attend a dinner hosted by the Thailand-Hong Kong Business Council where he will give his views on how Thai businesses can take advantage of Hong Kong's unique circumstances, infrastructure and skills to enter and thrive in the Mainland market. He will also brief business leaders on the progress of CEPA.

 

Mr Tsang will review the latest developments in Thailand's creative sector when he visits one of the country's largest production houses. He will also visit a local factory and a hospital.

 

He will return to Hong Kong on August 28.
