Merger submission deadline deferred
*

The KCR and MTR Corporations' request to extend the deadline for reporting the outcome of their merger discussions from August 31 to September 16 has been accepted by the Government.

 

The move comes as the two corporations have been asked to cover in their merger discussions how the Hong Kong section of the Express Rail Link can be accommodated on the overall railway network and assess the possible impact on the business opportunities of the merged company.
