Of the approved plans, six were for apartment and apartment/commercial developments, five were for commercial developments, two were for factory and industrial developments and four were for community services developments.

Last month, consent was given for work to start on 27 building projects that, when completed, will provide 135,289 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,874 units, and 24,268 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

The department also issued 26 occupation permits - 13 on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories.

Of the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor areas for domestic uses were 219,303 square metres, involving 3,066 units, and 21,809 square metres for non-domestic use.

The declared cost of the new buildings completed in June totalled about $2.884 billion.

In addition, four demolition consents involving four building structures were issued.

The department received 1,729 complaints against unauthorised building works in June, and issued 2,452 removal orders on unauthorised works.
