The KCRC's tendering plan is only a proposal and it is subject to agreement by the Government.

This was reiterated by the Government today after the company announced yesterday it would put up tender for one of its five property developments along the West Rail and the Ma On Shan rail links next year. It said the first batch of flats will be completed in 2008.

However, the plan is subject to agreement by the Government. It has always been the Government's objective to ensure property developments by Hong Kong's two railway corporations are carried out in an orderly manner without causing adverse impact to the property market.
