The Lands Department issued 11 consents for the sale of units in uncompleted developments in the first quarter, seven residential and four commercial.
Two consents to assign for residential units involving 1,976 units were also issued.
The seven consents for residential units involved the sale of 2,079 units in the territory. Four of these developments comprising 801 units are due to be completed within 2004 and the remaining three comprising 1,278 units before July, 2005.
The department issued two consents for the sale of 89 residential units in two uncompleted developments on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon in March. One was completed in March, and the other is due to be finished by August.
A total of 16 applications for presale consent involving 12,478 residential units across Hong Kong were pending approval. Four of them involving 3,277 units should be completed within 2004. Eight involving 7,049 units are expected to be completed within 2005 and the remaining four involving 2,152 units before February, 2006.
