Kenneth Kwok to head appeal body
*
Securities & Futures Commission

The Securities & Futures Commission has appointed Kenneth Kwok as its Takeovers Appeal Committee chairperson. Commission member Angelina Lee has been made deputy chairperson. The appointments are from April 1 to March 31 next year.

The commission also announced today the appointment of Brian Stevenson and Jim Baird as new members of the Takeovers & Mergers Panel. Kevin Westley has been reappointed chairperson, with Henry Fan and Clifton Chiu made deputies. Members Stephen Clark, David Graham and Teresa Ko have also been appointed as deputies.

The commission is confident the significant experience of members in takeovers and mergers and in the securities and financial markets will ensure the continued success of the panel and the appeal committee.

David Carse and Roger Moss have stepped down from the panel.
