Softcopies of statistical publications are now priced 25% lower than their hardcopy counterparts, the Census & Statistics Department says.

The new price structure is applicable to the entire 2004 series of sub-annual publications as well as annual and ad-hoc publications released in 2004. 

Users can purchase softcopies online at the Statistical Bookstore.

The department said it has achieved savings through producing and promoting the use of softcopies. Now users can directly benefit from these savings by buying publications online and downloading them.

This new price structure is in line with the overall e-Government strategy to encourage greater use of e-services. Differential pricing is one of the ways of achieving this.

The Statistical Bookstore is operated by the department together with ESD Services and is hosted together with other Government services under the Electronic Service Delivery Scheme on the ESDlife website.
