The value of wearing apparel domestic exports increased 1.5% in the third quarter, over the same period last year, to $8.9 billion. The consumer electrical and electronic products industry, meanwhile, remained virtually unchanged at $2.2 billion.
The value of domestic exports classified in the machinery, equipment, apparatus, parts and components industry fell 34.6% to $3.1 billion, while textiles fell 4.8% to $13 billion.
These four industries, taken together, accounted for 79% of Hong Kong's total domestic exports of manufactured goods.
As for other industries, a 10% fall was recorded for the paper and paper products, printing and publishing industry to $200 million.
