Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Frederick Ma will leave on a week-long visit to Europe on Monday.

The visit is part of the campaign to relaunch Hong Kong's economy following the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome outbreak.

During his visit to London, Frankfurt and Zurich, Mr Ma will meet with a wide cross-section of the European community, including our international counterparts and key contacts in the financial sector, and leading figures in the business sector.

He will also attend two cultural performances by the Academy for Performing Arts in London and Frankfurt.

Mr Ma will update European officials and business people on the latest developments in Hong Kong and reinforce the territory's image as an international financial centre.

He will also encourage them to visit and to strengthen their ties and co-operation in financial services with Hong Kong.

Mr Ma will return to Hong Kong on July 19.
