Hong Kong's New Academic Structure has received a positive response from an academic delegation from Montreal saying it prepares Hong Kong students well for admission to higher education institutions overseas.
The delegation met with Permanent Secretary for Education Raymond Wong today and was briefed on the key features of the New Academic Structure, which facilitates smoother articulation with overseas education systems.
Mr Wong was pleased to note the fruitful exchanges with various universities, academic organisations and admission services when the Education Bureau and Hong Kong Examinations & Assessment Authority visited Canada in March.
He was thankful for the positive responses and their support for whole-person development of students under the New Academic Structure, with an emphasis on building a broad knowledge base and developing students' thinking skills and abilities for life-long learning.
