Trainees to present chamber concert
*

More than 40 Leisure & Cultural Services Department Music Office trainees will perform solo, quartet, ensemble and chamber choral works at the Music Office Chamber Concert on February 17.

 

Violin soloist Wan Sin-yu will play Wieniawski's Polonaise No.1 in D-major and oboist Lee Ying-cheung will perform Mozart's Concerto in C-major. Bassist Lee Yik-chung will perform Dragonetti's Concerto in A-major, while saxophone soloist Kevin Ling will play Iturralde's Pequena Czarda. Tse Yuen-yau will present Chen Gang's The Sun Over Taxkorgan and To Fung-lim will perform Ma Di's Expressions of the Qin River. Erhu performer Lui Ka-yeung will play Wang Jianmin's Scenes of Tianshan.

 

The concert will also feature Brahms' Abendlied and Foster's A Stephen Foster Medley performed by the choir ensemble. Shostakovich's Quartet No.8 in C-minor will be played by a string quartet featuring members of the Junior Chamber Ensemble.
