Primary school central allocation to start

*

Students who have joined the Primary One Admission System for September 2010 but have yet to secure a discretionary place can take part in central allocation on January 23 or 24.

The Education Bureau said the students will be allocated a government or aided primary school place. The results will be released June 5.

Parents should make their school choices at a specified Central Allocation Centre stated in a letter from the bureau. Each centre opens from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Parents should also complete and return the school choice form to the same centre.

Those who have not yet received the letter should call 2832 7700. Call bureau's 24-hour automatic telephone enquiry service (2891 0088) for central allocation procedures.
