HK Sea School to suspend classes

*
Department of Health

The Department of Health today advised the Hong Kong Sea School in Stanley to suspend classes for a week from tomorrow due to the outbreak of a flu-like illness.

Twenty-nine boys aged 12 to 16 at the school have developed flu symptoms since September 5. Fourteen have sought medical attention. No hospitalisation was required and all are stable.

The department has visited the school and advised staff on infection control measures. The school has been put under medical surveillance.
