The Labour Department will hold a two-day job fair at Tuen Mun Town Hall July 29 to 30 offering 1,600 vacancies.

Thirty-eight companies from the retail, catering, property management and security industries will erect counters and interview job applicants on the spot. Vacancies include positions in sales, as shop assistants, waiters, security guards, personal-care workers, cleaners, officers and managers.

About 75% of the vacancies are full-time jobs. Most offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of the vacancies require Form 5 education or below and 60% do not require experience.

The department will also offer on-the-spot registration for job seekers.

The free job fair will be held at the Exhibition Gallery, 1/F Tuen Mun Town Hall, 3 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun, from 11am to 6pm each day. Click here for more information.
