The May 2009 issue of the Hong Kong Monthly Digest of Statistics was published today with three features on facts and figures in the research and development trades; the unemployment rate; and, the wholesale-retail and import-export trades, and restaurant-hotel sectors.

The bilingual document printed by the Census & Statistics Department contains 140 tables of statistics on Hong Kong's social and economic situation.
