Jacob Tsang to join education fund committee
*

Jacob Tsang, Hong Kong Jockey Club's Group Treasury Director, has been appointed to the Quality Education Fund Investment Committee for two years from tomorrow, the Education Bureau says.

Gordon Kwong has also been reappointed for another year. He is an independent non-executive director of a number of listed companies and has served on the committee since March 2004.

The $5 billion fund was established in early 1998 to fund community initiatives promoting quality education. It has supported 7,434 projects with grants amounting to $3.62 billion.

The committee was formed to formulate policies for and to monitor the fund's investment.
