The Labour Department and the Federation of Restaurants & Related Trades will hold a two-week job fair from February 16 to 27, offering more than 2,000 vacancies.

Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as restaurant manager, captain, cook, bartender, waiter/waitress, dishwasher, storekeeper, reception trainee, shop assistant, packer, cook (bread), cashier and clerk.

Most of the vacancies are full-time jobs requiring Form 5 education level or below and are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Monthly salaries range from $6,000 to $12,000.

The job fair will run from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, at the Recruitment Centre for the Catering Industry, 34/F, Revenue Tower, 5 Gloucester Road, Wanchai. Admission is free. For enquiries, call 2594 7800.
