Twelve teams will vie for six awards in the final Schools Creative Music Showcase performance at Sha Tin Town Hall January 20.

The event encourages students to express themselves through creative music making.

Each primary school team will select one of three designated sound projects and interpret it in a performance. Secondary school teams will present their original music with movement, mime or dance.

The teams are:

* Baptist Lui Ming Choi Primary School;

* PLK Tin Ka Ping Primary School;

* PLK Wong Wing Shu Primary School;

* SKH Tsing Yi Estate Ho Chak Wan Primary School;

* SKH Yuen Chen Maun Chen Primary School;

* Taoist Ching Chung Primary School;

* Taoist Ching Chung Primary School (Wu King Estate);

* Tseung Kwan O Catholic Primary School;

* YLPMSAA Ying Yip Primary School;

* Ho Fung College (Sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen);

* SKH Bishop Mok Sau Tseng Secondary School; and,

* HKTA Ching Chung Secondary School.

Prizes will be awarded for the best musical notation, sound design, composition, musical interpretation, overall performance and most original ideas.
