Fifty students and teachers from six schools in Hong Kong and Singapore shared their experience on wetland conservation in Hong Kong Wetland Park today.
The trip was part of the Sister Wetland Affiliation Programme organised by the park and the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve of Singapore's National Parks Board, involving exchange visits between schools and wetland reserves in the two places.
During the group's Hong Kong visit from November 25 to 27, students will share and showcase their study results on rubbish, biodiversity investigation, water quality, adaptation of exotic species, and research on the development of an education trail. They will later visit Mai Po Nature Reserve and partnership schools in Hong Kong.
The tour to Singapore will take place in February.
Hong Kong's participating schools are Immaculate Heart of Mary College, St Paul's Co-educational College and Queen Elizabeth School Old Student Association Secondary School.
