Under Secretary for Education Kenneth Chen will chair a 16-member Working Group on Development of Textbooks & e-Learning Resources, Secretary for Education Michael Suen says.

The working group will examine the development and price of textbooks, study the success factors contributing to the widespread use of e-learning resources and formulate feasible and widely acceptable recommendations for Mr Suen.

Members include information technology experts, secondary and primary school principals and teachers, publishers, community members and parents. There will also be co-opt members from relevant government departments and fields to gauge public views and concerns.

The members are Sheridan Lee, Chan Shuk-ying, Prof Cheung Wai-lok, Sansan Ching, Connie Lau, Prof Lee Chi-kin, Simon Lee, Sophie Leung, Ma Siu-leung, She Ngan-suen, Shum Yiu-kwong, Sin Chung-kai, Ann So, Dr Issac Tse and Dr Yuen Kin-sun.

The working group will hold its first meeting in November and will organise public forums to collect views from the community and relevant sectors. For details click here.
