HK team wins gold at physics olympiad
Numbers game: Five secondary students won one gold and four bronze medals at the 39th International Physics Olympiad, in which more than 400 contestants participated.
*

Five Hong Kong secondary students have won one gold and four bronze medals at the 39th International Physics Olympiad in Vietnam.

 

The gold medallist is Leung Ka-hei from Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School.

 

The bronze medallists are Fung Cheok-yin from Queen Elizabeth School, Lui Kam-to from Kwun Tong Maryknoll College, Tang Wai-hung from Baptist Wing Lung Secondary School and Wong Sung-ching from CMA Sun Kei Secondary School.

   

They were selected from participants in the Physics Enhancement Programme under the Support Measures for the Exceptionally Gifted Students Scheme.

 

The competition was held from July 20 to 29, with more than 400 contestants participating.
