Help offered to exam error students

*

Seventeen students affected by marking errors in the Certificate of Education Examination English Language (Syllabus B) oral paper will be allowed to return to their own schools or switch to new ones.

Secretary for Education & Manpower Professor Arthur Li said today the Government thanks the schools involved for their help in providing additional places and making special arrangements for the students.

The Education & Manpower Bureau formed a task force August 12 to ensure no candidates will be disadvantaged in the Secondary Six admission process. All affected candidates meeting the requirements for S6 admission were contacted, and 17 sought assistance.

The task force, composed of more than 20 bureau staff, have handled more than 2,800 enquiries, an average of 400 a day, since August 12.
