Schools that participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation system will distribute Secondary One Choice of Schools Forms and a Secondary School List to parents of primary six students starting today.
Parents are asked to read the information carefully before submitting their choice of schools for their children. They can also refer to the Secondary School Profiles 2003/04 that the Committee on Home-School Cooperation published in December last year. The profiles have been uploaded onto the committee's home page.
The completed school choice forms must be submitted to the children's primary schools in time for them to be passed on to the Education & Manpower Bureau on or before May 10.
About 82,000 primary six students will participate in the allocation system this year. Parents who have questions can consult their children's primary schools.
Parents may also call the bureau's automatic telephone enquiry service on 2891 0088. Relevant information and some frequently asked questions have been uploaded onto the bureau's home page.
Questions? Call the School Places Allocation Section on 2832 7740 or 2832 7700.
