Chief Executive Donald Tsang has expressed profound sadness at the death of Archibald Chan.

Having known Mr Chan for more than 30 years, Mr Tsang said Mr Chan had outstanding leadership and management skills and was fully committed to public services.

"He made tremendous contribution to the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force as its Commandant. On behalf of the Government and the public, I offer my deepest condolences to Mrs [Anson] Chan and her family," Mr Tsang said.
