Southern District Council member Ronald Chan resigned from office today. The Home Affairs Department said the resignation will take effect May 19.

The Pok Fu Lam constituency vacancy will be declared in a gazette notice by the Director of Home Affairs.

The Registration & Electoral Office will arrange for a by-election.
