Voter registration to end May 17
*

The Registration & Electoral Office reminds eligible people who have not yet registered as electors to submit their applications by May 17.

Hong Kong permanent residents holding an identity document who are aged 18 or above and who ordinarily reside in Hong Kong are eligible to be registered as electors.

Newly registered electors can vote in future Legislative Council and District Council elections only after the publication of the final registers of electors in July. They cannot vote in the Legislative Council by-election in May this year.

Registered electors should report any change in address or other registration particulars to the office by June 29.

Forms for voter registration and report of change in registration particulars can be downloaded from the voter registration website. Completed forms can be sent by mail to the office at 10/F, Guardian House, 32 Oi Kwan Road, Wan Chai, or by fax to 2891 1180.

Applicants should call 2891 1001 if they do not receive any reply from the office within 14 days after their submission.
