24 by-election nominations 'valid'
*

Twenty-four nominations have been ruled valid for the five geographical constituencies for the 2010 Legislative Council by-election, the Registration & Electoral Office says.

 

They are Leslie Spencer Tai, Leung Wing-ho, Tanya Chan, Wong Hing and David Lee running for Hong Kong Island, Lam Yi-lai, Kenneth Cheung, Wong Weng-chi, Pamela Peck, Kwok Shiu-ming, Shea Kai-chuen, Chiang Sai-cheong and Wong Yuk-man for Kowloon West.

 

Lai King-fai and Alan Leong will contest in Kowloon East, while Chow Ping-tim, Kwok Wing-kin, Li Sai-hung, Albert Chan and Li Kwai-fong will vie for the New Territories West. The four candidates for the New Territories East are Leung Kwok-hung, Crystal Chow, Chan Kwok-keung and Wu Sai-chuen.

Voting for the by-election will take place on May 16 to fill one vacant seat in each of the five geographical constituencies in LegCo.
