Policy Address to be broadcast live Oct 14

Chief Executive Donald Tsang's 2009-10 Policy Address will be broadcast live on this website when he makes the speech on October 14. The site will also feature the full text of the address.

 

In addition the speech will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVB-Pearl, TVB PAY VISION News Channel 2, ATV-Home, now Direct and now News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, HK Broadband Network-Live Information Channel, Infonews of Phoenix TV as well as RTHK channels 1, 3, 5, Putonghua channel and RTHK Online, Commercial Radio AM864 and its website, and Metro Finance FM104.

 

Mr Tsang will hold a press conference at 2.30pm, which will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVBN2, ATV-Home, now Direct and now News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, Infonews of Phoenix TV, RTHK-1, RTHK-3 and RTHK Online.

 

He will attend a television panel discussion forum at 7pm which will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVBN2, ATV-Home, now Direct and now News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, RTHK-1 and RTHK Online.

 

The conference and panel will also be broadcast live on the website.

 

He will attend a joint radio phone-in programme from 8am to 9.30am on October 15 to answer questions from the public. It will be broadcast live on RTHK-1 and RTHK Online, Commercial Radio-1 and its website, Metro Finance FM104, Cable TV-Live News Channel, HK Broadband Network Live Information Channel, now Direct and TVB PAY VISION News Channel 2. A live webcast will also be available on the Policy Address webpage.

 

Free publications

Copies of the address and other related publications will be available from 1pm to 7pm at 20 Home Affairs Department public enquiry service centres. The Mui Wo centre will close at 6pm, though, and the Cheung Chau centre at 6.45pm.

 

A counter will be set  up outside Murray Building, Garden Road, Central, to distribute the publications.

 

Copies of a leaflet containing the address' highlights will be distributed at the above locations and seven Government offices, 20 MTR stations (including Central, Admiralty, Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long), and 64 shopping centres in public housing estates.
