The Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau invites organisations to apply for funding from the Equal Opportunities (Sexual Orientation) Funding Scheme for 2009-10.

The scheme supports community projects which promote equal opportunity on grounds of sexual orientation or gender identity, or seek to provide support services for sexual minorities.

The funding scheme was first launched in 1998 and more than $5 million has been allocated to non-governmental organisations in the past 11 years.

Application forms can be downloaded here. Submission deadline is May 18.

A briefing session will be held on May 4 at the conference room, 21/F Southorn Centre, 130 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, to brief interested parties on the scope and operation of the funding scheme.
