The Registration & Electoral Office will arrange a by-election for the Wan Chai District Council Canal Road Constituency to fill the vacancy left by former councillor Lee Kai-hung.

The office became vacant February 20 after Lee was jailed five months by the District Court for fraud and misconduct in public office.

The Director of Home Affairs declared the vacancy notice in the Government Gazette today.
