Deputy Director of Accounting Services Li Kwok-tso has been appointed Director of Accounting Services from January 16 to succeed Lucia Li who will go on pre-retirement leave.
Commenting on the appointment today Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue said Mr Li has extensive knowledge in accountancy and treasury work as well as proven administrative and leadership skills.
"I am confident he will be able to lead the Treasury to meet the challenges ahead and continue to deliver quality service to the public."

Miss Yue hailed Mrs Li's service, saying she has strived to achieve the mission of the Treasury and devoted sustained efforts to enhance the professional service of the department in supervising Government accounts and rendering public service.
"Her leadership in the implementation of the Government Financial Management Information System project for the effective management of public finance is commendable. We sincerely wish her a happy retirement."
