Two new members have been appointed to the Consumer Council - Thomas Cheng and Bankee Kwan. Five existing members have been re-appointed.

All appointments and re-appointments are for a two-year term beginning January 1.

The five who were re-appointed are William Chan, Dr Polly Cheung, Prof Ron Hui, Philip Leung and Michael Li.

The incoming members replace Christine Fung and Homer Yu, whose terms end on December 31.

The Government thanked them for their contributions to the council's work.
