Golden moment: Chief Executive Donald Tsang presents the Grand Bauhinia Medal to Chief Justice Andrew Li.

Chief Executive Donald Tsang presented honours and awards to 253 recipients at the 2008 Honours & Awards Ceremony at Government House today.

 

Among the recipients, four received the Grand Bauhinia Medal, eight the Gold Bauhinia Star, two the Gold Medal for Bravery (posthumous), 23 the Silver Bauhinia Star, six the Distinguished Service Medal for Disciplined Services and the Independent Commission Against Corruption, 43 the Bronze Bauhinia Star and one the Bronze Medal for Bravery.

 

Meanwhile, 45 people were awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for Disciplined Services and the ICAC, 71 the Medal of Honour, 34 the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service and 16 the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service.
