Chief Executive Donald Tsang will deliver his 2008-09 Policy Address on October 15, outlining the Government's policy direction for the coming year.

 

It will be broadcast live on www.policyaddress.gov.hk at 11am.

 

TVB-Jade, TVB-Pearl, TVB PAY VISION News Channel 2 (TVBN2), ATV-Home, ATV-24 News Channel, now Direct and now News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, HK Broadband Network-Live Information Channel, Phoenix TV Infonews, Radio Television Hong Kong radio channels 1, 3, 5, Putonghua channel and RTHK Online, Commercial Radio AM864 and its website, and Metro Finance FM104 will also carry live broadcasts.

 

At 2.30pm Mr Tsang will hold a press conference to explain his policy initiatives in detail. It will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVBN2, ATV-Home, ATV-24 News Channel, now Direct and now News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, Phoenix TV Infonews, RTHK-1, RTHK-3 and RTHK Online.

 

He will attend a joint television panel discussion forum at 7pm, which will be broadcast live on TVB-Jade, TVBN2, ATV-Home, ATV-24 News Channel, now Direct and now News Channel, Cable TV-Live News Channel, RTHK-1 and RTHK Online.

 

He will attend a joint radio phone-in programme 8am to 9.30am on October 16 to answer questions from the public. It will be broadcast live on RTHK-1 and RTHK Online, Commercial Radio-1 and its website, Metro Finance FM104, Cable TV-Live News Channel, HK Broadband Network Live Information Channel, now Direct and TVB PAY VISION News Channel 2. A live webcast will also be available on the Policy Address webpage.

 

Free publications

Copies of the address and other related publications will be available here, and from 1pm to 7pm October 15 at the Home Affairs Department's 20 public enquiry service centres and at an Information Services Department counter on the ground floor of Murray Building on Garden Road, Central.

 

Copies of a leaflet containing highlights of the address will be distributed at:

* Queensway, North Point, and Tsuen Wan Government Offices;

* Immigration, Revenue, Wan Chai, and Trade & Industry Department Towers;

* Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Jordan, Mong Kok, Wong Tai Sin, Kwun Tong, Kwai Fong, Tsuen Wan, Tsing Yi, Po Lam, Hung Hom, Kowloon Tong, Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Fanling, Tin Shui Wai, Tuen Mun and Yuen Long MTR stations;

* the Ground Plaza of HSBC Main Building, Central;

* Times Square, Causeway Bay;

* Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui; and,

* 64 shopping centres in public housing estates.
