A new website platform myhk2020.com is open until November 30 allowing Hong Kong people to revitalise Brand Hong Kong and create a vision for the city's brand in 2020.

Officiating at the inauguration ceremony today, Financial Secretary John Tsang said views collected from the website and other channels would be consolidated to form the vision and core values underpinning the revitalised brand.

He noted the brand review is needed as many changes had taken place locally and in the macro-environment in the past seven years which might impact on people's aspirations and core values.

Mr Tsang said public engagement in creating the brand vision was a key process in the review exercise.

People can express their vision by uploading text, photos, videos, drawings or art to the website. They can also submit opinions via email, fax (2598 7482) and post to Brand Hong Kong Management Unit, Information Services Department, 4/F Murray Building, Garden Road.

Competitions

The Information Services Department and Radio Television Hong Kong will co-organise the Hong Kong 2020: The Miracle Continues lyrics and video competition. Participants are required to rewrite the lyrics for the theme song of RTHK's Miracle of the Orient drama series and produce a video featuring the song with new lyrics.

The department will also launch the Create Hong Kong 2020 drawing competition. All age groups are encouraged to join and entrants should base their artwork on their ideal vision of the city in 2020. For details click here.
