Poll cards have been sent to more than 3.37 million registered electors, telling them where to vote in the 2008 Legislative Council election on September 7, the Registration & Electoral Office says.
A total of 532 polling stations will open from 7.30am to 10.30pm on polling day. Electors should ensure they go to the correct polling station.
Every geographical constituency elector should receive a poll card, a map indicating the location of the designated polling station, a guide on voting procedure, an introductory booklet on the candidates in the respective constituency and a leaflet from the Independent Commission Against Corruption on a clean election.
All functional constituency electors will also have the introductory leaflet on the candidates in their functional constituency included in the mailing package.
The location map enclosed with the poll card specifies clearly whether the polling station is accessible to electors with mobility difficulty. Most of the polling stations are accessible to the disabled.
An elector with a disability finding it difficult to access the designated polling station can call 2891 1001 or fax to 2891 1180 by September 2 to apply for re-allocation to another polling station.
If electors do not receive their poll cards, they should call 2891 1001. For more election information, click here.
