The Vice-President commended the team for their bravery, risking their lives amid the threat of aftershocks, saying their heroism, devotion and professionalism earned the respect of the Chinese people.

Concluding his Hong Kong visit Mr Xi urged all sectors of the community to unite with the Government to ensure the best future for Hong Kong, adding he is confident the city will successfully co-host the Olympic and Paralympic equestrian events.
