The Government received 689 requests for information under the Code on Access to Information in last year's fourth quarter, the Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Bureau says.

Requests received since the code's introduction in March 1995 is 24,166, with 89% met either in full or in part, 2% refused and 5% withdrawn. As at December 64 requests were still being processed.

People dissatisfied with the response under the code can ask for a review or lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman. In the fourth quarter the Ombudsman received four complaints.
