Transport e-services to migrate to GovHK
*
Transport Department

The Transport Department's seven e-services will be migrated to the GovHK portal from January 20.

They are: applications for renewal of full driving licence and vehicle licence; reservation of unassigned non-special registration mark for auction; driving test form and road testing appointment booking; certificate of vehicle particulars; vehicle annual examination appointment booking and re-scheduling; and change of address (Transport Department).

These online services are currently provided by the ESDlife portal, whose contract will expire in mid-January. Most will be suspended from 6pm on January 15, to January 19. Applications for vehicle annual examination appointment booking and re-scheduling and change of address services will be suspended from 8pm on January 18 to January 19.

During the e-services' suspension, applicants may continue to submit applications through other channels, such as counter services at the department's four licensing offices, by post, or through the drop boxes located in the licensing offices or selected post offices.

If applicants for the issue of motor-vehicle certificates through the Internet between January 13 and January 15 need a reprint, they must complete this by 6pm on January 15.

The department stressed the service-suspension period has been kept to the minimum to reduce public inconvenience. Notification messages about the migration have been posted on the ESDlife portal. Click here or call 1823 for enquiries.
