Election poll cards to be mailed
*

About 2.96 million registered electors in 364 constituencies will receive poll cards reminding them to vote in the 2007 District Council Election on November 18.

They will also get a map showing the location of the designated polling station, a voting guide, an introductory leaflet of candidates in their respective constituencies, and a leaflet from the Independent Commission Against Corruption on clean and fair elections.

Anyone who has not received the material should call the election hotline, 2891 1001.

A voter with a disability who finds it difficult to access his designated polling station can apply for re-allocation on or before November 13,  by telephone on 2891 1001, or by fax on 2891 1180.

Candidates in 41 of the 405 constituencies have been elected unopposed. The remaining 364 seats will be contested by 866 candidates.
