Eight candidates' nominations have been ruled valid in the Legislative Council Hong Kong Island geographical constituency by-election.

They are Savantas Policy Institute chairperson Regina Ip, barrister Lee Wing-kin, retired civil servant Anson Chan, company directors Tandon Lal Chaing and Ling Wai-wan, worker Lau Yuk-shing, solicitor Siu See-kong, and volunteer Ho Loy.

A list of candidates and their candidate numbers determined by the drawing of lots will be gazetted later. Voting will take place December 2.
