Wellington Fung has been appointed Film Development Council Secretary-General. Co-founder of the Media Asia Group of companies and currently Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Big Media Group, Mr Fung will assume the openly-recruited post on November 16.

Welcoming the appointment, council chairman Jack So said Mr Fung's 30 years' experience in the industry will help further film development in Hong Kong.

He will act as the linchpin between the Government, the council and the industry in formulating development strategies.
