Two new members have been appointed and eight members reappointed to the Cantonese Opera Development Fund advisory committee until 2009.

Matthew Lam and Lina Yan are newly appointed. With Secretary for Home Affairs as the fund's trustee and the committee's chairman, the reappointed members are John Chan, Eva Cheng, Dr Leung Nai-kong, Dr Lui Che-woo, Dr Tai Tak-fung, Dr Stephen Chow, and representatives from the Home Affairs and Education Bureaux.

The committee advises on matters relating to the fund's administration and management. The fund raises money to support research, study and activities promoting and sustaining Cantonese opera development.
